Rahul Chaturvedi of Bhadohi strives to resolve global warming issue for the people of India
The people of Bhadohi district and Uttarpradesh are witnessing a rise in major health issues like diabetes and cancer due to global warming. Rahul Chaturvedi, a well-known politician and a dedicated social worker in Bhadohi and Mumbai constantly striving to help every-one in this crisis. Through his efforts, Rahul has raised half a million rupees for the people suffering.
Rahul also shares his views over the issue, “Global warming could cause problems like drought, severe weather, lack of accumulated snowmelt, increase in the number and variety of pests, lower groundwater tables and a loss of arable land, which could cause severe crop failures and livestock shortages worldwide. These problems could be solved if we plant more trees and towards this efforts I initiated a tree plantation drive since past 2 years that has seen successful planting of 1 lakh trees in Bhadohi district. He has also been encouraging people to undertake ‘Green Construction’ of house and use water harvesting techniques”.
Rahul also adds. “Much of our electricity and heat are powered by coal, oil, and gas. Use less energy by lowering your heating and cooling, switching to LED light bulbs and energy-efficient electric appliances, washing your laundry with cold water, or hanging things to dry instead of using a dryer. He also believe that we should switch to using solar energy for powering our homes, offices, etc.”
He says, “The world’s roads are clogged with vehicles, most of them burning diesel or petrol. Walking or riding a bike instead of driving will reduce greenhouse gas emissions – and will also be beneficial for our health and fitness. For longer distances, consider taking a train or bus. And carpool whenever possible”.
Rahul states that, “Instead of using chemical based fertilizers, we should rely on organic farming. This way we will also be able to control the rise of health issues like blood pressure, etc. We all know how harmful plastic is for the environment and therefore we should move towards recycling. If all of us make an effort towards practicing a sustainable living, I am sure we will be able to reduce Global Warming.”
Rahul says we should all take inspiration from the hard-work and dedication that our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi displays. In keeping with this he is reaching out to the government and other services to provide as much help as he can. During devastating floods across the country, Rahul was instrumental in arranging relief items to the people of the affected areas. His only aim in life is to assist and support anyone who is helpless.
We wish This promising social worker a great journey ahead as he has put in all his time and effort to be where he is today.
